This is perfect for an outdoor play area, or around the house if you want something soft that won't degrade over time. I went through the whole bag and did not find any signs of hard pieces or steel bands from the tires it is made from. Viagrow does an excellent job processing this stuff. The dye also looks good, just like the photos.
The Hubs and I have had this type of rubber wood looking chips in our flower bed for years. They are longer lasting than cedar and other wood chips that are available at chain stores. The dark color makes a striking contrast to the green and bright flower colors in the flower bed. The bag is quite large and covers a lot.
This product is at the top of the heap :) for rubber mulch appearance, it really looks like shredded bark.I'm using this around and in newly seeded wildlflower beds; a more 'premium' location, where it will be noticaeable along the front walk.
